Cessna 182 I-ELLY

The Cessna 182 Skylane is an American four-seat, single-engine, light airplane, built by Cessna of Wichita, Kansas. It has the option of adding two child seats, installed in the baggage area. Introduced in 1956, the 182 has been produced in a number of variants, including a version with retractable landing gear, and is the second most popular Cessna model, after the 172. The Cessna 182 was introduced in 1956 as a tricycle gear variant of the 180. In 1957, the 182A variant was introduced along with the name Skylane. Later models have added more powerful engines and bigger windows. Cessna cites the 1990s resumption in producing general aviation aircraft such as this model due to change in U.S. liability laws. In 2005, Cessna began offering the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit as an optional upgrade to the Skylane. Subsequently the glass cockpit became standard equipment.

I-ELLY is a C-182 Q model equipped with a Continental O-470U(13) 235 hp engine. Owned by a private, the aircraft was imported in Italy in the mid '90 and it served the Gorizia AeroClub sited in North-East of Italy. The airplane was used for school and IFR rating being kept under airworthiness status by EASA Parts-145 maintenance shops. Lately it has followed important upgrades in order to respond to a major training demand. From 2007 it belong to Cantor Air that is using it for IFR Rating, CPL and training in general.
