PPL-A - Private Pilot License

WHO CAN SUBSCRIBE?

All those who have attended compulsory school and are at least 16 years old can enrol in the PPL course.

Subsequently, candidates may undergo a psycho-physical fitness medical examination at a centre recognized by the Institute of Legal Medicine, after which they must obtain, before the first flight, first- or second-class medical certification, as prescribed in the in the ENAC medical regulations.

GOALS AND DURATION OF THE COURSE

The goals of the course are to obtain a complete training, both theoretical and practical. 

Flight missions’ exercises - as a single pilot or as co-pilot on safe and controlled aircraft - are accompanied by numerous hours of academic instruction.

The students will conclude their studies with the achievement of the Class Qualification on single-engine aircraft SEP (Land).

The course will include a complete training of theory and flight missions. In particular, the theoretical program normally includes no less than 119 hours of training distributed over various teaching subjects: study in the classroom, viewing slides, use of interactive systems and any other thing that can contribute to developing the level of professional culture of the student.

The flight program, on the other hand, includes at least 30 hours of Dual Command Instruction (Dual) and 15 hours as Solo Pilot (PIC).

The duration of the course, which must be continuously, is generally between 3 and 6 months; however, the personal needs of each candidate will also be kept in mind, and for this reason the times can be adapted.
